Its inpatient facilities include 34 general wards, six isolation wards, and 40 OPD rooms. Modern operation theatres are equipped to handle surgeries efficiently, with three already functional and provision for a fourth. The new structure has been carefully designed to meet both patient care and administrative needs, covering multiple floors with modern amenities and mechanized support systems.

Spread across nearly 8 acres with a built-up area of more than 17,000 square meters, the hospital is a multi-storey complex with basement, ground, and four additional floors. It houses not only treatment units but also offices, staff facilities, and patient service areas. Accessibility from Ranchi city and nearby districts makes it a vital healthcare hub for the region.

The hospital primarily caters to ESIC beneficiaries—insured workers and their dependents—offering medical support under the ESI scheme. With the new capacity, it is expected to serve over five lakh insured persons. Its services cover routine and specialized care, along with provisions for maternity, disability, and employment-related medical needs.

Looking ahead, the government has also proposed the establishment of a medical college on this campus, starting with 50 MBBS seats. This would further strengthen its role, not only as a hospital but also as an academic and training institution for future healthcare professionals in Jharkhand.
